2008 DC 48 Hour Film Fest Elements

Genre: Drama

Line of dialog: "I'll be glad when he's gone."

Character: Larry or Lori Gardner, a designer

Prop: Sauce

Once again we've competed in the Washington DC's 48 Hour Film Project, a contest in which over 100 teams compete to make films in 48 hours.  We're the reigning champs of sorts from last year based on The Kumbio Takedown.  That led us to the Panasonic sponsored showdown in which we made Lizzie Strada and won an HVX200a HD camera, which we used to film this.  Please comment-away and let us know what you think!

This has been another episode of Clichéd White People Theater. Tune in next time as the camera dollies around dessert and the ugly girl reveals she's a lesbian.

Kevin, the movie is tugging at my heart strings. And the song! Omg the song should've won! I love it! Congrats, Kevin! Can't wait to see more of your brilliant work!

This is the 4th time I've seen this in a week and i just can't get enough. I love the ending credits. As an actor, this is something I am definitely adding to the list of things to think about when I'm doing a crying scene i have to do in a few weeks.

Hei, adorei. Very different from everything else I've seen from you. Am showing Lizzie Strada to my friends. Now another one, though this is a bit depressing - I suppose it is the whole point of 'drama'. Like the music a lot, particularly combined with the beautiful scenery in the background. I was only sorry it was so short... Beijo.

Nice work guys - I know drama isn't your specialty. Credits looked great, and even though Kevin isn't in it, his dashing smile and exotic half-Brazilian charm really contributed to the overall quality, I feel. My one criticism is probably that I would have enjoyed having at least one character who I didn't feel was a sh*thead. Even if they had sh*thead behavior, somehow you can still connect with them and like them, is what I would have wanted. Just 'cause its drama doesn't mean it has to be 'everyone being jerks all the time until the end when they realize they should act a little better'. The overall feel was pretty good, and it looks terrific - color, quality of picture, etc. I can't wait for more - seriously.
